We are Marissa and lauren
Our mom and dad were college sweethearts who wrote love letters, backpacked across the country, laughed often, and loved deeply. Thanks to them, we saw how fun and joyful life can be when you marry your best friend! Unfortunately, when we were teenagers our dad was diagnosed with ALS and passed away shortly after. It was a heartbreaking time but through the pain our family grew even closer. Our mom is amazing!
Growing up our dad always had a video camera in his hands capturing all the special family moments and we are forever grateful. We learned first hand what a treasure it is to have the big moments, small moments, and all the in-between moments captured.
It’s because of our parents that we strive to live each day with love and joy. And now, we serve couples like you so your heartfelt moments are yours to keep long after your wedding day is over. We get to know you so we’re not just strangers with cameras, we’re friends capturing your best day. We’re so grateful to serve sweet couples marrying their best friend and starting their adventure together just like our parents did many moons ago.
Above all, we want to provide each of our couples with a unique and customized experience on their wedding day. We want to be more than just your photographer and videographer, we want to be your confidant, cheerleader, and friend!

1971
Our parents met in college, and instantly fell in love. They loved to travel and went camping often.
1986-1989
After 10 years of just the two of them, they decided to make it a family of four.
Summer trips were a family tradition and every year we went to Lake Tahoe or explored somewhere new.
2001
Unfortunately our dad was diagnosed with ALS and passed away shortly after.
After a camping trip to the San Juan Mountains in Colorado we decided to start ML Photo & Film. Looking back it was a full circle moment and we knew our dad was watching over us.
Marissa, tired of the Texas heat, made the bold move to Denver and not long after we added Lauren's husband John to the team.

I've become a huge Denver Broncos fan since moving here.

I'm just like our mom. I get my drive and creativity from her. She is also a photographer.
My favorite trip we've taken together is Dubai. It was incredible.... and I'll never forget venturing in the desert and exploring the mosque in Abu Dhabi.
My favorite trip we've taken together is Moscow, Russia. We attempted to go to the Olympics in Sochi but last minute planned diverted us to Moscow. It was an adventure to say the least.

I grew up with 3 sisters (an older and twin younger sisters) so I've learned to be the calm to the craziness.
Crazy enough, I grew up in Austin as well.
We're a house divided, I attended University of Texas. Hook 'em Horns!
My favorite trip Lauren and I have taken together was traveling around China for 3 weeks; hiking the Great Wall in the snow, exploring Zhangjiajie (aka the Avatar Mountains), and so much more!
